I’ve been doing this since 1998, and at this point I’ve learned one thing for certain: great DJs don’t just play great music. They know exactly when to play it.
I came up DJing in New York before bringing that experience to Jacksonville in 2010. Since then, I’ve spent more than two decades behind the decks and have become one of the go-to DJs for weddings and events across North Florida. I’ve rocked everything from intimate weddings to packed nightclubs, corporate events and festivals with thousands of people—and even live-to-air events for ESPN.
I’ve opened for national artists. I’ve held nightclub residencies. I’ve performed hundreds upon hundreds of weddings. But none of that matters when I hit play at your wedding.
Because your dance floor doesn't care about my résumé.
It cares whether I can read the room.
And THAT is what I do.
I’m a party DJ. Period. I don't specialize in one genre because great parties don't live inside one genre. Give me Motown, 80s, 90s, 2000s, hip-hop, country, rock, pop, house—or all of it in the same night. My job is figuring out what your people respond to, knowing when to switch gears, and building momentum until nobody wants the night to end.
That same philosophy became the foundation of PSE Event Group. I didn't build a company around DJs pressing play. I built a team around an approach to weddings I've spent my career developing: polished enough for the wedding, energetic enough for the party, and never afraid to throw the original plan out the window when the dance floor tells us something different.
If you're looking for background music and somebody to make announcements, there are plenty of DJs who can do that. If you want someone who can take control of a room and create a night people talk about afterward—now we're speaking my language.

Isn't just one of our DJs. He’s part of the heartbeat of PSE.
From the beginning, Patrick had something you simply can't teach: personality. The dude walks into a room with energy, connects with people immediately, and genuinely looks like he's having as much fun as everyone on the dance floor. Probably because he is.
Over the last decade, I've watched him develop into one hell of a DJ. He's versatile, creative, knows how to read a crowd, and isn't afraid to bounce between genres and generations to find what makes a room move. Weddings, corporate events, private parties—Patrick brings the same energy every single time.
But what makes Patrick special to me goes beyond DJing.
When you've worked alongside someone for 10+ years, you learn who they are when nobody's watching. Patrick is dependable. He's professional. He's a teammate. He's the guy who shows up ready to work, brings a great attitude with him, and represents this company the way I want PSE represented.
And after a decade together, he's also family.
There have been a ridiculous number of weddings, packed dance floors, late nights, inside jokes, crazy stories and memories along the way—and somehow this dude still points at people like every chance he gets.
Some things you just can't coach.
If you want polished and reserved, Patrick can absolutely give you that when the moment calls for it.
But when it's time to turn the lights down and PARTY?
Yeah... that's when you unleash Patrick.

Dj John P
John is a 20-year veteran of the wedding industry, spending two decades behind the camera as a professional videographer before making the leap to the DJ booth in 2020. That move reignited his passion for weddings—this time from the music side of the celebration.
John was a quick study… a very quick study. His creativity, music knowledge, and ability to think outside the box quickly separated him from the pack. From creating some of our most creative #DopeOrNope mixes to putting together sets for PSE Radio, John developed a style that is polished, unpredictable, and uniquely his own.
It didn’t take long for couples—and fellow wedding professionals—to take notice.
Today, DJ John P has become one of PSE Event Group’s most requested DJs, known for reading a room, creative mixing, and using 20 years of wedding experience to understand that a great reception is about a whole lot more than just playing great songs.

Dj shawn woolf
Meet the legendary DJ Shawn Woolf, better known around here as DJ Woolfman. A true veteran of the game, Shawn brings decades of experience, an incredible knowledge of music, and the kind of ability to read a room that only comes from years behind the decks.
Shawn’s musical roots go back to the days when vinyl ruled the turntables, and that foundation still shows in everything he does. Motown, funk, disco, rock, 80s, 90s, 2000s or today — Woolfman has an incredible ability to move between generations while making it all feel like it belongs together.
His transitions are smooth, his music knowledge is ridiculous, and he understands that a great wedding DJ isn't there to simply play songs. It's about knowing what to play, when to play it, and when it’s time to completely change direction.
Shawn has been part of the PSE family for over a decade, and beyond being an incredible DJ, he’s one of those guys you simply want on your team. Professional, dependable, experienced, and still genuinely loves what he does.
When I have a room filled with multiple generations and need someone who can find the common ground, get them dancing, and keep them there, I know exactly who to call.

Dj Tony C
If you’ve been around the 904 wedding and event scene for the last decade, there’s a pretty good chance you’ve crossed paths with Anthony. And after years of doing his thing around the First Coast, it was about damn time he found his forever home with PSE.
Tony is just a really, really good DJ. Smooth, clean transitions. Ridiculously organized music. No sloppiness. No guessing. And after more than a decade working weddings and events in North Florida, he already understands all the little things that separate someone who can DJ from someone who can actually DJ a wedding.
When Tony became available, I jokingly called him the free agent of the millennium—but there was definitely some truth behind it. Adding someone with his experience, professionalism, and skill set to our roster was an absolute no-brainer.
He’s spent the last six months learning the PSE way—our process, our expectations, our style, and how we approach a wedding from beginning to end. Now the training wheels are officially coming off.

Dj WES2K
Every team has that one guy who absolutely needs to know what the newest piece of gear does. At PSE, that guy is Wes. If there’s a new lighting fixture, controller, speaker, effect, piece of software, or some ridiculous piece of technology I didn't even know existed yet… there’s a pretty good chance Wes already knows about it, has watched 14 videos on it, and is trying to convince me we need three of them.
But that obsession with production is exactly what makes Wes so damn good at what he does.
Wes approaches every wedding as more than just a DJ set. He wants to know the couple, their music, their vision, their room and how they want the night to feel. Then he combines that preparation with clean mixing, great music selection, and his ridiculous attention to detail to create an experience that's completely dialed in.
And while we lovingly call him our Gear God, the technology is never the star of the show. The couple is. The gear, lighting, sound and production are simply tools Wes uses to make the night hit differently.
He’s meticulous. He’s prepared. He’s constantly evolving. And he's probably already researching whatever we're going to be using next year.
When your wedding calls for great music with production to match, there’s a reason we call him: MR. PRODUCTION.
Dj Alex Petway
Hailing from the greatest place on the face of God’s green earth — Long Island, New York. So naturally, we were already off to a pretty good start.
Alex actually attended the same DJ/mixing school I did, where my mentor eventually went on to start his own entertainment company. I carried on the Party Solution name, while Alex stayed with the OG crew — who, all these years later, are still doing their thing today. Funny how life works, because decades later our paths crossed again, this time in Florida.
With hundreds of weddings under his belt, Alex brought a ton of experience with him when he relocated to St. Augustine, and we were lucky enough to add that talent and experience to our team.
Musically, I know exactly when I'm calling Alex. If I have a wedding, corporate event, or private party looking for a heavy dose of POP — especially early 2000s and before — Alex is my guy. He knows that music, knows how to mix it, and more importantly, knows how to read the people standing in front of him.
